Casing, in which flow channels for the fluids involved in heat exchange, are formed by tubular elements. In this case the pipe or group of pipes for passing a coolant are placed inside another pipe - a casing, which forms the other coolant. Advantages of shell and tube exchangers are easy to manufacture and low cost, the possibility of using thick-walled material for operation at high operating pressures and temperatures, there are sectional model removably tube bundle for servicing and repair.
